The city of Kum, located about 135 km south of Tehran, the capital of Iran, is the second sanctuary for Muslims.
Kum is also famous as a production center of high-quality silk carpets made of 100% silk, as it is called "Kum Silk".
Kum produces not only silk but also high quality wool carpets.

This is made of lamb's neck hair (= cork wool), which is called the finest wool, and has a glossy, high-quality and soft tread. In addition, colorful silk is also used for a part of the pattern, and it shines brilliantly depending on the amount of light!

It is a rare piece that is rare in both the color and design of plant dyeing with a fine and firm weave.

It's an old carpet, but it's in very good condition.
